The Fear of Transitioning your Career

Recruiters can be helpful but if you are not “the ideal candidate” that they are looking to match with a prospective employer then you may find that you are constantly being turned down.

Maybe a little self-reflection might be helpful.  What makes you unique?  The key to transitioning and re-inventing yourself is to keep learning.  As well, you have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone.

Maybe you want to change what you are doing but don’t know how or you are afraid to take a chance. AI is altering all jobs and this is the time to capitalize on your skills and make a plan to take the next step in your career.   Seize this moment to learn a new skill.  If you intend to stick with law then AI can help you learn an entire new area of law that you might think will make you happier.  Do your research.  If you are thinking that you would like to practice family law, for example, then go to family court and watch lawyers in action.  Is complacency and discontent holding you back?  A change in mindset maybe is what is needed. A mentor/coach in your corner holding you accountable and supporting you in this new direction could make a big difference for you.
