Get to know, Me!
With over 30 years of experience in family law, I am deeply committed to helping families find peace and resolution through mediation. I’ve seen firsthand how the court system can cause more harm than good, which is why I focus on creating a space for cooperation, understanding, and compromise. I believe in the power of mediation to rebuild relationships and ensure children’s voices are heard in the process. My goal is to offer personalized, compassionate solutions that reflect each family’s unique needs. Through mentorship, I also strive to guide fellow lawyers in serving families with empathy, integrity, and dedication.

With over 30 years of experience in family law, I have witnessed the complexities and emotional toll the court system can impose on families. My commitment to helping families navigate these challenges has led me to exclusively focus on mediation services and offering mentorship for fellow lawyers. I believe mediation is a powerful, constructive alternative to the adversarial court process, allowing families to rebuild their relationships and find sustainable solutions.
Through mediation, I help families work through difficult issues by focusing on cooperation, communication, and compromise. Even in the most high-conflict cases, I am confident that solutions can be found when both parties are motivated to collaborate.
One of the core principles of my approach is the inclusion of children in the process. Having served as a panel lawyer for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer, I have extensive experience interviewing children and ensuring their voices are heard in parenting plans. I believe every child deserves the opportunity to express their feelings and be part of decisions that will impact their future.
I understand that no two families are the same. That’s why I take a personalized approach to mediation, offering flexibility to cater to each family’s unique circumstances. Whether it involves extended family members or requires a different approach to communication, I am open to suggestions that best serve the needs of the family.
As a mother of two daughters, one of whom was diagnosed with ADHD in Grade 5, I have firsthand experience with the challenges of raising children, particularly those with unique needs. This personal experience deepens my empathy and understanding when working with families facing similar challenges.
In addition to my professional work, I have been married for 30 years as of September 2025 and yes, marriage can be difficult. I know that separation is never an easy decision, and it can be an emotional journey. Through each stage of hurt, grief, fear, acceptance, and resolution, I approach my mediation practice with sensitivity, understanding, and a deep commitment to helping families heal and move forward.
Through my mentorship program, I am dedicated to sharing my legal knowledge, ethical insights, and passion for family law with fellow lawyers. I believe that by empowering lawyers with the tools and mindset needed to better serve their clients, we can collectively make a more positive impact on families in need.
